Backhoes & Attachments
Hydraulic hammers
The TXH Series hydraulic hammers are built for compatibility with Terex compact excavators and loader backhoes. Pictured is the TX1100. Every hammer in the TXH Series is vibra-silenced via the polymer suspension pad to reduce total operator and carrier machine vibration exposure. These hammers are engineered to guarantee lower sound power levels, and the entire hydraulic hammer system is easily maintained through a single-point greasing system. The one-piece box design does not use cross-bolts, allowing the hammer to work in a narrower trench or close quarters without concern that the hammer could get hung up.

Backhoe loader
The new Caterpillar 450E backhoe loader is designed with new functional styling, easier maintenance and enhanced operator comfort over the 446D model that it replaces. The 450E has 124 net hp and a backhoe digging depth of 17 feet 3 inches when equipped with a standard stick. The new extendable stick pushes the 450E digging depth to 21 feet, 4 inches. Its high rotation backhoe linkage eliminates the need to change pin position when moving from loading trucks to vertical wall trenching. New combined-function auxiliary hydraulic lines on the backhoe enable the 450E to support all one-way and two-way hydraulic work tools, such as hammers, compactors, thumbs, augers and tilting couplers.

Trenchers
Walk-behind trenchers
The self-propelled Turf Teq 1304, 1305 and 1035SP1 are all walk-behind trenchers that can trench up to 7-inches deep. Four blades are offered, ½-inch wide by 5-inches deep, 2-inches wide by 5-inches deep, 2 inches wide by 7-inches deep, and 5-inches wide by 5-inches deep. The unit features a 13-hp Honda engine and a hydrostatic forward/reverse transmission. The trencher also has multi-use capability as a landscape power edger, power broom and power rake.

Trencher
The Vermeer RT200 trencher features a 23-hp Kohler engine and a fully hydrostatic drive system that is designed to eliminate gears, belts and pulleys, and reduce maintenance costs. The RT200 can trench down to 48 inches deep, with widths of 4 inches to 8 inches. The unit also features durable steel shielding, a reversible boom, an operator-presence system, easy-to-learn and color-coded controls, standard tow valve and a park break. Trencher attachments
The Toro line of trencher attachments for Dingo compact utility loaders includes two models designed to deliver increased performance in a variety of soil conditions. The Toro high-speed trencher delivers an auger speed of 187 rpm at 11 gpm and 442 foot-pounds of torque at 3,000 psi for efficient trenching in soft-to-medium soil conditions. Producing and auger speed of 120 rpm at 11 gpm and 675 foot-pounds of torque at 3,000 psi, the Toro high-torque trencher features a heavy-duty drive system. Both trencher attachments fit most compact utility loaders, including the Toro Ding TX 420 and TX 425 wide-track models.

Engines
Air-cooled diesel engines
Kohler introduces seven air-cooled diesel engine models from 6.7 to 34.9 hp and six liquid-cooled diesel engine models from 16.8 to 64.4 hp. The Kohler diesel range features both single- and multi-cylinder models (50kW and under). The diesel engines are also emission compliant to the latest EPA and CARB emission requirements, and offer advanced fuel efficiency, low sound levels and various air intake and oil-filtration system options.

Diesel engines
Hatz’ line of air-cooled diesel engines has a power range from 2 to 80 hp. The lightweight B Series (pictured) features engines ranging from 2 to 11 hp. The Supra Series of engines ranges from 4 to 16 hp. The G Series is a 2-cylinder, 20-hp engine series. The L and M Series range from 20 to 72 hp. The Silent Pack or L Series is an encapsulated engine series that reduces noise by 90 percent for quiet operation.

Air-cooled engine
The WM engine series from Wacker Neusom offers advanced automotive technology designed to deliver improved performance, longer life, quieter operation and lower operating costs. The WM Series is an air-cooled engine line that uses chain-driven overhead cam (OHC) technology. This design offers high performance through more power, easier starting because of lower pulling force, longer life with 33-percent fewer moving parts in the valve train, lower maintenance and lower fuel consumption. The OHC technology allows the intake and exhaust valves to be positioned for optimum engine performance.

Lawn & Garden Equipment
Grass trimmer
Nikko Tanaka introduces the TBC-240PF grass trimmer, which is part of the company’s “inspire” design products that feature a new look for the commercial handheld outdoor power equipment industry. The “inspire” design is based on the Hitachi Power Tools industrial design and marks the first collaboration between Hitachi Power Tools and Nikko Tanaka Engineering. The TBC-240PF features a 23cc, 1.2-hp PureFire two-stroke engine, an improved anti-vibration system and a solid-steel drive shaft.

Vibratory plow
The Charles Machine Works, manufacturer of Ditch Witch, introduces the 420sx vibratory plow. The unit features a dual-speed attachment drive. With two speeds, the operator can quickly adapt to changing ground conditions, whether plowing or trenching. The 420sx is designed to closely follow the contour of the ground, which helps the attachment maintain a constant plowing depth on uneven terrain. Besides a standard vibratory plow, the 420sx can also run a Roto Witch boring attachment and a trencher.

Other Products
Compact compressors
Both of the Ingersoll Rand AirSource and the AirSource Plus portable rotary-screw compressors from Doosan Infracore Portable Power feature a new modular design canopy. The lockable, lightweight and aerodynamic canopy is made of virtually indestructible composite material, which along with composite fenders, rear bumpers and a three-step paint process provides improved corrosion resistance. The AirSource compressor features 160 cubic feet per minute at 100 psi and runs off a 49-hp Ingersoll Rand diesel engine with an eight-hour runtime. It also weights 1,850 pounds and allows for two-tool use. The AirSource Plus offers 185 cubic feet per minute at 100 psi and is available with either a 62.4-hp Ingersoll Rand diesel engine or a 65-hp John Deere diesel engine. The compressors come in a compact size, with overall widths of 67 inches and overall heights of 59 inches. The compressors include a cool-box design that enables cool air to enter the rear of the compressor and wash over internal components, keeping internal temperatures low and prolonging component life. The unit comes standard with a new remote separator element, which is a simple spin-on design that eliminates the need to enter the separator tank and prevents spillage during oil changes.

Cold-water pressure washers
Shark-Karcher introduces a commercial line of cold-water pressure washers using a hand-truck design for extra-ease in maneuvering. The four models deliver cleaning power of up to 3,600 psi of pressure with a flow rate of up to 4 gpm. The line of hand-truck pressure washers features a steel frame, tubed-pneumatic tires and 50 feet of commercial-grade high-pressure hose. Two models, with 9- and 13-hp engines, come standard with an easy-wind hose reel.
