Backhoes & Attachments
Loader
backhoes
New Holland announces five
new loader backhoes from 95 to 110 gross hp. The B95 and B95TC models
are in the 14-foot size class, and the B95LR, B110 and B115 (pictured)
are in the 15-foot size class. The inline loader linkage, high-capacity
hydraulics and traditional geometry give these machines their powerful
lift capacity. In addition, because fast cycle time is essential to
productivity, the new loader backhoes feature high-capacity,
fast-response hydraulics.

Backhoe
coupler
Komatsu offers its
factory-installed JRB hydraulic front coupler on the WB146-5, WB146PS-5,
WB156-5 and WB 156PS-5 backhoe models. The coupler has a four-point
pick-up for ease of coupling, even on uneven terrain. The hydraulic
installation kit utilizes existing loader hydraulics. Top-mounted
coupler contact points and lower coupler pins engagement are already
visible by the operator. The lockable switch to open and close the
coupler cylinder is located on the side dash. The load center of gravity
is only 2 inches from the original pin-on attachment position for
minimal reduction of lift capacity and breakout force.

Demolition Hammers & Tools
Hydraulic
impact hammer
Allied Construction Products
introduces the Rammer in-Series hydraulic impact hammer. The
non-breakable hydraulic hammer is a trapezoidal tool that can be mounted
on mini-excavators, skid steers and backhoes. The in-Series hammers
range from a working weight of 152 pounds to 453 pounds, offer operating
pressures from 2,030 psi to 2,175 psi, oil flows from 3 gpm to 18 gpm
and blows per minute from 1,880 to 2,100.

Jaw
crushing plant
Telsmith Inc., an Astec
company, introduces the track-mounted primary jaw crushing plant — the
Quarry-Trax Model TJ3258. The Telsmith 3258 jaw crusher features a
larger gape and a 58-inch-wide crushing chamber, boosting crushing
capacity by up to 15 percent. In automatic mode, the crusher feed is
maximized by monitoring engine load, crusher load and feed bin level in
order to maintain a consistent choke feed. The crusher setting is
displayed on an on-board LCD monitor and adjustments are enabled through
push-button controls. Hand-held wireless remote maneuvers the plant and
provides crusher, feeder, engine and conveyor controls from a safe
distance.

Hand-held
breaker series
Featuring an advanced vibration reduction system, the CP 1210
hand-held breaker series from Chicago Pneumatic
Construction Tools offers features to enhance operator comfort and
tool control, as well as increased power to match the performance of
heavy breakers. The 35-pound class breakers are designed for
light-to-medium demolition of floors, pavement, frozen ground and
masonry walls. Each series model requires 59 cfm of air and delivers
1,400 blows per minute.

Electric
breaker
The EH 27 Low Vib electric breaker from Wacker is
designed to offer more power with less hand arm vibration — a
28-percent reduction from previous models. According to the
manufacturer, the unit dampens vibrations in the entire upper housing
including the handles, which protects the user’s body from vibrations,
increasing productivity through reduced fatigue and longer working
duration. The EH 27 Low Vib weighs 60 pounds and hits with 37
foot-pounds of impact energy at a rate of 1,000 bpm.

Pumps
Multiquip’s new InstaPrime
pumps are designed for moving large quantities of water quickly and
efficiently in a diverse range of applications. The InstaPrime Series
moves up to 5,000 gpm in model sizes ranging from 6 to 12 inches. The
pumps are fitted with a 148-gallon fuel tank for extended continuous run
times of up to 100 hours. Powered by 40- to 96-hp Deutz diesel engines,
these high-flow pumps showcase heads of up to 143 feet and can generate
lift of 30 feet in 30 seconds. Each also handles solids up to 3.6
inches, pump and priming system drain valves to eliminate the risk of
water freezing in the unit, and a water lube vacuum pump to prevent oil
leaks and other unwanted priming discharge.
