Unleash the Ultra Boom

With the strongest boom in the industry — made from 100,000 psi steel — the Ultra Series takes you higher with 135 ft of reach and up to 1,000 lb capacity. More outreach above 50 ft means a greater work envelope than any other boom lift. Exclusive Workstation in the Sky® accessory packages boost productivity.

Compact Equipment
Skid-steer loader
Bobcat introduces the S100 skid-steer loader, which features a 1,000-pound rated operating capacity, a spacious cab, easy-to-read instrument panel, and a transversely mounted engine in a small frame. Its narrow width of 50 inches with bucket allows operators to travel through backyard gates in residential areas, access the inside of buildings for interior demolition and work between buildings and other tight quarters on construction sites. The S100 features a four-cylinder, 33.5-hp diesel engine and a lift height of 8 feet, 6 inches for loading and dumping debris and materials.

Compact excavator
The John Deere 17D compact excavator features enhancements including adjustable-width tracks and a backfill blade with foldable end sections. When the tracks are retracted and the blades' end sections folded, the machine fits through a 40-inch opening. When fully extended to over 50 inches, the undercarriage provides maximum stability for operation. The 17D also features 20-percent more hp, 8-percent more arm force and 19-percent more bucket dig force. The new long-arm/heavy counterweight option provides an additional 8 inches of digging depth and reach.

Site dumpers
The Terex Power Swivel PS2000, PS3000, PS3500H (pictured) and PS4000H site dumpers come equipped with four-wheel drive and articulated steering capabilities making it a cost-effective solution for moving materials around jobsites. These units allow loads to be rotated 180 degrees from side to side and tipped to accurately place a load. The PS3500H has a maximum payload capacity of 7,716 pounds, while the PS4000H has the capability to haul a maximum payload of 8,818 pounds.

Abrasives & Blades
Saw blades
DeWalt introduces the metal demolition reciprocating saw blades -- DW4864 through DW4869 (pictured). The blades feature a sharper tooth geometry that promotes faster cutting speeds and increases productivity on the jobsite. For increased blade life, the blades are designed with an aggressive shank angle that allows more teeth to make contact with the material being cut, helping to maintain the cutting rate of the blade as it wears. Each blade features an anti-stick coating to minimize friction and create clean, smooth cuts.

Blades
The Wafer Style Tuck Point Blades, from Multiquip's Diamond Cutting division, allow operators to remove grout and mortar between bricks and in concrete blocks in foundation walls. Ten wafer tuck blades are offered with double and triple-style models ranging in diameter from 4 to 7 inches and in thickness from 1/4-inch to 3/8-inch. The blades can be used with most right-angle grinders.

Lawn & Garden Equipment
Seeder
The Husqvarna SD22B seeder comes with a 5.5-hp Briggs & Stratton engine, a 22-inch seeding width and an easy-to-use 30-pound hopper made from molded plastic to reduce friction. Its 12-gauge steel blades are angled and beveled to give an optimal depth for seeding. Seed rate and size are regulated by a dial control mounted on the handle. The handle itself is ergonomically designed for comfortable control and folds down to make it easier to transport.

Hydroseeing system
Turbo Technologies offers the HS-300EH hydroseeding system. Its ease of operation allows homeowners to quickly learn how to operate the machine. The HS-300EH features a 13-hp Honda electric-start engine, new higher-pressure pumps and new custom poly tanks with molded in bale hoppers.

Bulk spreader
SnowEx, a division of TrynEx International introduces the new 7500 bulk spreader. Featuring a 1.4-cubic-yard capacity material hopper constructed entirely of polyethylene, the 7500 eliminates the corrosion concerns and constant maintenance commonly associated with standard steel V-box alternatives. Though the hopper features thick-walled construction, the unit is up to 40-percent lighter than similar capacity steel-built options, making it easier to install or remove. Intended for use in pick-up trucks, the 7500 features the same patented multi-angle hopper and inverted-V salt/sand baffle design found throughout the SnowEx line of V-box spreaders.

Generators
Mobile generator
The PowerSource mobile generator line from Ingersoll Rand includes six models -- the G10-G125 -- ranging from 10 kVA to 125 kVA. Ingersoll Rand reduced the footprint on the PowerSource line by up to 30 percent from some previous models. The line is also lighter than its predecessors, making them easier to move around the jobsite. PowerSource generators are also designed for low noise applications. In addition, the line features environmental skidbases that provide a minimum 110-percent containment of all generator fluids.

Mobile generator
The new MMG 25 from Magnum Products is a three-phase, 25 kVA mobile generator that features three-position voltage selection and a 4-cylinder Isuzu diesel engine. It offers quiet operation at 66 dBA with a minimum 24-hour run time. The front and back hoods flip open for fast, easy access.

Other Products
Welders
Lincoln Electric's Ranger family of engine-driven welders now offer one to five more horsepower on most engines, depending on the model, for higher power ratings and more reserve engine power for welding. Featuring 200 to 300 amps of welding and 9,000 to 11,000 watts of AC generator power capabilities, the Rangers are designed to deliver a high-output, smooth arc for a variety of welding processes, including stick, TIG, MIG, flux-cored and pipe welding, as well as arc gouging.

Portable toilet
Red Box Plus introduces the Mini Series combination roll-off portable toilet. The Mini Series is a 6-cubic yard container with two poly lids and attached portable toilets. The toilet container is designed for events or small construction projects with a minimal amount of space.

Product Spotlight
Manitowoc Model 1015 building bridges in Georgia
A barge-mounted Manitowoc Model 1015 duty-cycle crawler crane is creating drilled shaft foundations on a replacement bridge project in Brunswick, Ga. The crane is working for Coastal Caisson, a specialist foundation company and subsidiary of Bauer, the renowned geotechnical engineering company.

The Model 1015 features engineering done in collaboration with Bauer's foundation equipment division. This was a decisive factor for Coastal when selecting equipment, said Joe Kinworthy, Coastal's equipment manager.

"The 1015 has a Bauer undercarriage with the upperworks and boom from Manitowoc, so it's a good combination," he said. "On this job we needed a crane that would give us the extra reach from the barge to the pile positions that our traditional foundation equipment doesn't provide. When we looked at what was available, the 1015 was the ideal choice."

On the Brunswick job, the Model 1015 is working with 105 feet of main boom together with a Bauer B 36 crane attachment to drill the caissons. The project includes over 420 piles with diameters of either 54 inches or 60 inches, which are installed to depths as deep as 150 feet.

The new bridge project is part of road improvement work on Interstate 95. Work started in September 2006, and the crane arrived in February 2007. The 1015 will stay until the caissons are finished which should be mid-2008. Main contractor on the job is Skanska and the client is the Georgia Department of Transportation.

The Model 1015 is one of the industry's premium foundation and duty-cycle machines. It has a 447 kW engine and is suited to a variety of applications, including:

* Dragline work with up to 25,000-pound capacity
* Dynamic compaction in single or dual line of up to 27.5 tons and automatic drop cycle
* Diaphragm wall grab work (using a 2-rope or hydraulic grab) and 27.5-ton free fall
* Clamshell work with 40,000-pound capacity
