Engines
Biodiesel fuel engine
JCB Dieselmax engines, available
in a range of JCB construction and agricultural machines, are now
approved for the use of B20 biodiesel fuel. Biofuels are a
carbon-neutral energy source that create lower emissions and are
produced from renewable resources.

Industrial engine
Caterpillar's C-9, 350-hp
industrial engine is an in-line, 6-cylinder, air-to-air after-cooled
engine that features the Caterpillar ADEM TM III controller and HEUI
TM-B fuel system. The ADEM III is an electronic control module designed
to provide more control input and output allowing additional features to
be added or parameters controlled and monitored. The HEUI fuel system
utilizes hydraulically actuated, electronically controlled unit
injectors and allow complete, adjustment-free electronic control of fuel
injection pressure, timing and duration, providing greater flexibility
for programmed electronic control strategies that determine engine
performance and emissions control characteristics. The C-9 is also
available in 275 to 335 hp and is rated between 1,800 to 2,200 rpm for
industrial applications.

Outdoor Power Equipment
Walk-behind aerators
SourceOne introduces five models
of Plugr walk-behind turf aerators with 22-inch to 30-inch aeration
widths. Plugrs are reciprocating aerators that produce deeper, cleaner
holes from spoon tines engine-driven into the ground. The 22-inch PL410
is specifically designed for rental to homeowners.

Mower
Wright Manufacturing
introduces a mid-mount, zero-turning-radius mower with an engine nearly
3 inches lower than most mid-mounts. The hydro drive pulley is mounted
on the bottom of the engine drive shaft, which allows the hydro pumps to
be mounted 6 inches lower, and the result is a significantly lower
center of gravity. The mower can be powered by a 21-, 23- or 25-hp
engine with a choice of a 48-, 52- or 61-inch deck width.

Concrete Masonry and Saws
Diamond cutting
techonology
Diteq introduces a new,
patented diamond cutting technology called ARIX, which is designed to
improve cutting speed and blade life consistency in the range of 50 to
100 percent. Diteq achieves cutting performance from its ARIX diamond
blades by being able to precisely arrange individual diamond particles
throughout each segment. The diamonds are also treated with a
proprietary process to increase their ability to resist being crushed.
Each is spaced out evenly so they do not interfere with each other's
support structure.

Masonry Saw
The new model 4100NH, 4 3/8-inch dry masonry saw from Makita is designed with a 12-amp motor
and 1 3/8-inch cutting capacity to cut a range of masonry materials such
as tile, masonry, concrete and granite. It features a 13,000 maximum
rpm, an easy-to-adjust depth gauge to help achieve a precise cut, and
the flat rear side of the motor housing allows for easy blade changes.
