Earth-Moving
Excavators
The new John Deere D-Series Excavators retain many features of their predecessors, but significant improvements -- including faster hydraulics, a totally redesigned cab, undercarriage enhancements, and a new cooling system -- deliver a boost in productivity and uptime, as well as lower daily costs. Key to the D-Series' enhanced productivity is the faster hydraulic system, which boosts productivity by up to eight percent. Drawbar pull, swing torque, lift capacity and arm force also have improved significantly.

Skid-steer loader
The new S330 skid-steer loader from Bobcat is the company's largest skid steer, with a 3,300-pound rated operating capacity. With a 10-foot, 10-inch lift height, the S330 works in construction, landscaping and agricultural markets. Its 85-hp, liquid-cooled diesel engine with increased displacement and horsepower means an increase in pushing power and drive torque when digging. To facilitate attachment operation, the machine features standard fingertip auxiliary hydraulic control, maximum/variable flow and forward/reverse detent. Standard two-speed travel increases the loader's mobility around jobsites by providing a 6.9-mph normal travel speed and a 12-mph high travel speed.

For Contractors
Saw
Featuring smart, new motor technology created with the user in mind, the comfortable cutting position demonstrates Husqvarna's K 750's power. Special features include dual-charge engine technology that produces 5-hp with improved fuel economy and 70-percent fewer emissions. The vibration damping system offers 50-percent lower vibrations and smoother cutting. The saw features a 25-percent lower noise level because of a larger muffler. Active Air Filtration, with its centrifugal cleaning, adhesive filter and paper filter, increases the service life and gives the unit longer service intervals.

Concrete slab buster
The Allied Hammerhead II Model HB 550 from Allied Construction Products is a 1,130-pound hydraulic concrete slab buster that mounts easily on a 5,000- to 9,000-pound skidsteer, 7,000- to 15,000-pound mini-excavator or 9,000- to 16,500-pound loader/backhoe. A single blow of the slab buster rubblizes concrete, reducing labor-intensive jobs to fast demolition and cleanup. The HB 550 is designed to demolish concrete flatwork up to 10 times faster than traditional methods, according to the company.

Trailer
The Demco Model DT6000HD aluminum tilt-bed trailer from Dethmers Manufacturing features a GVWR 5,980-pound capacity. The overall trailer length is 20 feet, while the bed length is 14 feet. The maximum loading degree incline is 15 degrees. The trailer features surge brakes on all four wheels with self-adjusting uni servo brake shoes. Standard features include winches and tie-down chains, and the trailer also comes equipped with rubber-torsion axle suspension.

Vibratory rollers
Multiquip's new tandem and combination vibratory rollers are available in the 1.5- to 5-ton weight class and are built for maximum jobsite performance with high-frequency vibration, operator comfort, safety features and a maintenance-free service concept. Ten diesel-powered models are available in the AR Series with drum widths from 31 to 51 inches. Centrifugal forces range from 2,925 pounds on the AR-16 to 10,790 pounds on the AR-40. Standard features on the vibratory rollers include ROPS, dual frequency and amplitude, backup alarms, pressurized water systems with dual filtration, noise attenuation and lockable instrument panels. The AR Series rollers carry the MQ/Rammax brand name to complement Multiquip's full line of light- and medium-sized compaction equipment, which already includes rammers, plate compactors, and trench and asphalt rollers.

Brush chipper
Rayco's RC 12 brush chipper is designed to deliver the power, performance and features typically seen on larger machines. The 86-hp Cat diesel engine and Rayco's PULSE down pressure system ensure top performance on any type of material. Features such as a self-adjusting hydraulic clutch, planetary feed wheel motor, few grease points and a large service door over the engine help keep maintenance costs and downtime to a minimum. At more than 6,000 pounds, the heavy-duty, drum-style chipper is built to withstand harsh jobsite conditions.

For Homeowners/Light Contractors
Ride-on platform
The Toro Company introduces the TX platform, a ride-on attachment for tracked Toro Dingo compact utility loaders. The platform helps decrease operator fatigue and increase comfort, especially in applications that require extensive hauling or cover substantial distances. The TX Platform is designed to provide a safe, smooth ride by pivoting up and down to float with uneven terrain, which allows for a stable and level platform for the operator. A rubber pad at its hinge point reduces transmission of machine vibration to the user. The platform is accompanied by a handlebar that can be mounted to the dash for added operator safety. Constructed of heavy-duty steel, the platform measures 29 inches wide, operates 5 inches above the ground and weighs 94 pounds. When not in use, it folds up and stores against the machine in a locked position.
