Earth-Moving
Compact track loader
New Holland introduced the C175 compact track loader. The unit has a 2,200-pound rated operating capacity and an operating weight of 7,535 pounds. With an overall width of 71.1 inches over the tracks, a length of 129.5 inches and a ground pressure of 5.3 psi, the C175 is designed to fit on most standard trailers and get into hard-to-reach areas. The C175 has a New Holland turbocharged engine rated at 60 gross hp and features a standard two-speed transmission for travel speeds up to 7.4 mph. With a 10-foot lift height and 30 inches of forward reach, the unit can move larger loads than earlier versions.

Skid-steer loader
Mustang added a 99-hp Cummins diesel engine to its 2109 skid-steer loader. The Tier 2 emissions-certified, turbo-charged engine offers 305 foot-pounds of torque. The engine offers easy access to important maintenance points, including the dipstick, oil fill and air cleaner. The conventional liquid-cooled design requires oil/filter changes at 500-hour intervals after the initial 50-hour service. A grid-heater glow system provides preheat capabilities, helping operators in cold environments get to work quickly on cold days.

Walk-behind trencher
Barreto Manufacturing introduces the 1324 ST zero-turning-radius steerable walk-behind trencher. Precise wheel control helps eliminate drifting, allowing the 1324 ST to trench uneven terrain or hillsides. Long, arching curves are possible, with virtually no extra effort from the operator.

For Contractors
Hacksaw blades
Bosch Power Tools' new hacksaw blade line offers three 10- and 12-inch hacksaw blades. All are color-coded and labeled with their specific application for quick and easy identification on the shelf and in the toolbox. The high-tension 12-inch Bosch hacksaw frame offers a 4¾-inch throat depth for tackling wider diameter pipe and 45- and 90-degree cutting capabilities.

Trailer
The ET 7000 Escalate trailer from Bil-Jax features a drop-deck design for maximum safety and ease of loading/unloading. The trailer is designed to handle payloads of up to 7,000 pounds. With a bed size of 75 inches by 144 inches, the trailer is suited for hauling scissorlifts, skid-steer loaders, trenchers, personnel lifts and all types of powered walk-behind equipment. With a ramp grade of 6 degrees, equipment with low ground clearance can be driven on and off the trailer with ease. The ET 7000 is equipped with hydraulic surge brakes or electric brakes. Other features include tie-downs, heavy-duty powder-coated finish and a low center of gravity for easy towing.

Programmable key device
The Toka TS1100 is a programmable device that replaces the key switch in all equipment. It features 47, five-digit master codes and 124, four-digit user codes that can be added or deleted with just a few presses. Two models are available, one with start position for conventional machines and one with platform/ground for two-station machines, such as manlifts or crane applications. Features include anti-start, hot-wire detection and tamper notification using rapid flashes. Every master can read all users as well as the last 10 users for damage or user accountability.

Demolition attachment
Atlas Copco Construction Tools introduces the CC 1700 hydraulic demolition attachment. Providing 220 tons of cutting force at the jaw tip, the attachment is available with interchangeable steel-cutting and universal jaws. Opening 29.5 inches wide, the universal jaws are designed for building demolition, industrial demolition, secondary reduction and material separation. The steel-cutting jaws open 17 inches wide and are suited for steel structure demolition, secondary reduction and material separation. The CC 1700 features a single-pin jaw-retention design that improves tool visibility for the operator, decreases the total weight of the unit, and reduces the amount of time required to switch between sets of cutting jaws. With a maximum operating pressure of 5,100 psi, the attachment is suitable for carriers in the 15- to 25-metric ton weight class.

Stump cutter
Vermeer reintroduces the SC352 stump cutter, which comes equipped with four new features: a 4-wheel drive (4WD) option; 35-hp Briggs & Stratton Vanguard Big Block gasoline engine option; chip blade option; and standard oscillating front steering axle. The 4WD feature on the SC352 is an optional offering to provide improved traction in difficult ground conditions. The optional chip blade helps eliminate the need for manual shoveling during jobsite cleanup. The blade, which can be lifted hydraulically from the operator's station, moves chips into the hold made after removing a stump, or can be used to aid in collection for hauling the chips off site. A new standard feature on the SC352 is the oscillating front steering axle, which features improved ground contact stability and tractive effort in certain ground conditions.

The compact CS 1500 wet/dry vacuum from CS Unitec can be used for various construction or industrial cleaning applications. The unit is designed for collecting concrete dust, concrete slurry and jobsite debris. The heavy-duty plastic poly filter bag holds up to 10 gallons and allows for simple, safe disposal of the waste. The CS 1500's patented air guide feature maintains equal vacuum pressure inside and outside the bag to make it possible to use the plastic poly filter bags.

Its optimum drilling range using solid bits is 5/8 to 1¾ inch with a maximum capacity in concrete of 1¾ inch using solid bits and 6 inches using core bits.
