Earth-Moving
Trencher
The 1330 trencher from Ditch Witch is a reliable, low-maintenance hydraulic drive trencher that features a reversible digging chain for dislodging rocks or spoils caught in the chain, the company says. The 1330 is designed for landscaping, irrigation, utility contractors, or any trenching application that requires an easy-to-use pedestrian trencher. The machine is equipped with a 13-gross-hp Honda GX390 gasoline engine and can trench to depths of 36 inches with trench widths to 6 inches. At 81 inches long and 34 inches wide, the compact size of the machine allows it to fit through a standard yard gate and work in confined areas.

Dozers
The John Deere 750J and 850J dozers can be shipped from the factory with hardware, software and wiring to support the grade control system of the customer's choice. These two machines are able to operate software from aftermarket grade control systems, offering "plug and play" convenience -- installations are clean, quick, reliable and less costly.

Letter to the Editor
Letter from Genie
Dear RER,

I would like to point out an error in a recent RER E-Newsletter. In the February 22nd edition there was a column on the Skyjack SJ 6832 RT. The column states that the SJ-6832 is the only compact RT that is drivable at full height with the rollout deck fully extended.

Actually, Genie makes a GS-3268RT model, and has for several years, that is capable of having the deck fully extended at any height. Thank you for informing your readers and for continuing to publish RER in support of our industry.

Sincerely,

Eric Ludwig

Boom lift
Skyjack's new SJ 40T and SJ 45T telescopic boomlifts are designed with quality, durability and serviceability in mind. Swing-up cowlings offer unrestricted compartment access and a swing-out engine tray allows for quick maintenance inspection. All Skyjack boomlifts are equipped with continuous drive and steer-directional sensing, a feature that automatically adjusts the control inputs based on the operator orientation relative to the base. Other standard features include oscillating axles, drivable at full height, 360-degree continuous turret rotation and up to 180-degree platform rotation. The SJ 45T model includes a 5-foot hydraulic jib.

For Contractors
Powder coat paint
Landoll announces another addition to its already manufacturing facility. The new addition is comprised of 75,000 square feet which features a prep booth, two powder coat paint booths 60 feet long, and a large natural gas powered baking oven that can accommodate three large trailer frames. The benefits of powder coat include a uniform, durable, high-quality, and attractive finish. The result is a smooth, consistent durable exterior finish, which is more resistant to the salt and chemicals used on winter roads. Six standard colors are available with options for special color requests. The new facility allows Landoll to offer standard feature of powder coat paint on all trailers it manufactures.

Track system
Loegering announces its newest innovation in traction, the QTS-Quad track system. QTS is a set of four rubber-track undercarriages that bolt directly to the standard hubs of most telescopic boom lifts. The system can be added onto a machine by unbolting the tires, installing a Loegering wheel spacer with anti-rotate mounts, and finally bolting on the QTS. These undercarriages are constructed out of high-grade steel and feature fully sealed greaseless bearings for minimum maintenance. In addition, the QTS features an easy grease tensioning system for fast, reliable track adjustment. QTS offers 3,236 square inches of track to the ground, offering floatation in soft soil conditions, increasing versatility and extending the wet-work season. These track systems eliminate flat-tire downtime and the costly expense of fluid-filled tire repair. QTS also minimizes rutting in turf applications, improves traction in sandy soils and improves safety by minimizing "machine-bounce" both around the jobsite and at travel speeds.

Dewatering pumps
ITT Flygt introduces the 2600 series, its latest generation of dewatering pumps. The line includes six models -- 2610, 2620, 2630, 2640, 2660, and 2670 -- with output from 1.2 to 27 hp. The six pumps cover almost any dewatering application at worksites of all sizes, including constructions sites, mines, quarries and other harsh environments. The pumps come with discharges from 2- to 6-inches NPT and provide hydraulic performance from 150 to 14,00 gpm and heads from 40 to 230 feet. The patented DuraSpin hydraulic system and newly designed impeller improves wear resistance and sustains performance over time.
