Earth-Moving
Backhoes
Woods Equipment introduces the Groundbreaker-X BH70-X and BH80-X (pictured) backhoe models, which are designed for commercial contractors and homeowners. The Groundbreaker-X easily attaches to skid steers and 18 to 45-hp compact tractors with either a 3-point or 4-point hitch. Its excavator-style curved boom and large dipper cylinders offer up to 3,780 pounds of digging force. A 180-degree swing arc and 180-degree bucket rotation enable the backhoes to maneuver in and around difficult obstacles.

Skid-steer loaders
Gehl's line of skid-steer loaders range from the compact Model 3640E with a rated operating load of 1,175 pounds to the top-of-line Model 6640E with a rated operating load of 2,900 pounds (when equipped with the optional counterweights). The new E-Series skid loaders are designed with an optimized combination of performance, power, speed and operator comfort. The E-Series models are engineered to provide the operating precision and maneuverability operators want in compact loaders, along with high horsepower, superior hydraulic power, increased load capacities, and spacious, quiet operator compartments.

Loader controls
With Bobcat's selectable joystick controls, now available on the Bobcat S130 and T140 loaders, operators can have drive and hydraulic controls at their hands and receive the advantages of having speed and horsepower management. The selectable joystick control option allows operators to choose between ISO or conventional skid-steer H control patterns so that they can choose the driving style they prefer.

For Contractors
Concrete vibrator
Oztec introduces a new version of its model BP-50 backpack concrete vibrator, the BP-50a. This version is equipped with a totally enclosed rotary throttle that allows the operator to comfortably control the engine while preventing wet concrete from entering and clogging the throttle mechanism. A kill switch is conveniently located on the same handle. The patent-pending rotary throttle has been specifically designed and engineered to eliminate the operator's variable setting of the engine speed. This feature is designed to ensure that the unit will consistently produce the proper vibrations per minute resulting in optimum concrete consolidation.

Concrete system
The C.U.B.E., or Cart-Away Universal Batching Equipment, is designed to allow users to control most aspects of jobsite ready-mix production. With a 1 1/2-yard mixing capacity, the C.U.B.E. can produce 6 to 8 yards of concrete per hour. The loading, mixing and dispensing of the concrete materials are all completed inside the box, reducing the amount of equipment at the jobsite. The C.U.B.E. reduces the high cost of short-load fees and employee downtime associated with using a ready-mix truck. It is designed for construction applications where ready-mix is needed for several projects over an extended period of time.

Portable heater
The IMAC 2000S is Topp Portable Air's newest addition to its line of portable temporary industrial heaters. The indirect-fired heater provides clean, dry heat distribution for up to 587,000 Btu/hour. Equipped with a high-efficiency heat exchanger, a weather-resistant and lockable casing, and a high-pressure fan, the IMAC 2000S is designed for jobs that require a large heat throw. Featuring a rugged design, the heater is suited for any environment, even harsh industrial sites, and can be used for both indoor and outdoor applications. The heater can be used for curing concrete as well as thawing ground in enclosed structures.

Generators
Ingersoll Rand introduces the PowerSource G90 to G570 mobile generators, which range from 94 to 570 kVA. All PowerSource models have controls and connection points grouped at the rear of the unit in an ergonomically designed power pedestal to maximize operator convenience and safety.

"The entire range has been designed to be rugged and reliable, yet quiet, so applications from construction to events to emergency management are suited to PowerSource generators," says Todd Howe, generator product marketing manager for Ingersoll Rand.

Concrete vibrators
The Dynapac Racoon flex-shaft concrete vibrators are a complete vibration system designed to match any job with interchangeable flexible shafts and poker heads. The quick-connection device between the drive unit and the flexible shaft makes it easy and quick for the operator to change the shaft. The 2-hp electric drive unit is available in 230- or 115-volt single-phase current. It is combinable with four poker heads with a diameter range of 1 1/8 inch to 2 3/8 inch, and five flexible shafts from 3 1/4 feet to 13 feet.

Plate compactor
The Bomag BP8/34 single-direction plate compactor features a 119-pound operating weight and 13.4-inch plate width, making it maneuverable in confined spaces. The plate's adjustable steering handle and curved handle design allow for ease of transport without removing components. Powered by a 4-hp Honda GX120 gasoline engine, the BP8/34 offers a frequency of 5,400 vibrations per minute and 1,800 pounds of centrifugal force.

For Homeowners/Light Contractors
Water jetter
The Ridge Tool Co. Model KJ-1750 Ridgid water jetter is designed to propel a highly flexible hose through 1 1/4- to 4-inch drain lines, blasting through sludge, soap and grease blockages. As the operator pulls the hose back, it scrubs the line, flushing away debris and restoring drain lines to their free-flowing capacity. The unit features two levels of pulse, a working pressure of 1,750 psi and a flow of 1.4 gpm.
