Generators
Honda's generators
produce between 1,000 and 10,500 watts of power for recreation,
construction, rental and emergency use. The generators are powered by
Honda four-stroke engines designed to make the generators as quiet as
possible. The company produces 26 generator models across five generator
lines: economy, deluxe, industrial, super quiet and RV generators.
Within Honda's industrial generator line are five Honda EB series
models, powered by the company's GX series commercial grade OHV engines,
and available in 3,800-, 5,000-, and 6,500-watt sizes. The EB3800,
EB5000, EB5000i (pictured), EB6500, and EB7000i generators are ground
fault circuit interrupter protected to meet OSHA jobsite regulations and

Filtration system
Latta Equipment
introduces the Eliminator filtration system for wood floor sanding to
eliminate a dust-filled environment while on the job. The system uses
three high-powered vacuum motors for suction and airflow. The high
efficiency cyclone removes 98 percent of the dust into a self-bagging
30-gallon collector for easy machine emptying. The Eliminator allows up
to two users to simultaneously use a belt/drum sander and an edger with
up to 125 feet of hose. The vacuum can also be disconnected and used by
itself on small jobs. Features of the unit include an oversized primary
filter area with a steel cage that eliminates premature filter clogging,
a durable compression cast composite housing that won't dent or rust, a
maintenance-free vacuum that increases productivity and decreases
cleanup time and an average filter life of three to five years.

Skid Steer Going Strong After
40 Years
Owatonna, Minn.-based Mustang receives dozens of calls
for replacement skid-steer loader parts from its dealers every day. But
this one was different. The drive belt the customer was seeking hadn't
been used on a Mustang skid-steer loader in more than 40 years.
That's because the caller, Joe Gross of J. Gross Equipment in Aberdeen,
S.D., was looking to fix a 1965 Mustang skid-steer loader for a
customer. Not only was the unit more than 40 years old and in good
working condition, it was No. 18 of the original 25 units off the
Mustang production line.
Following production of the first 25 units, Mustang -- then known as
Owatonna Manufacturing Company -- put the unit through a complete
redesign. The drive system was reengineered in the process and this
particular drive belt was eliminated.
The unit, now with its third owner, still had the original decals, seat
and tires. It had logged just 339.6 hours in its lifetime. The hour
meter is original and still works. The pins, bushings and other wear
points are in like-new condition.
After hearing of the original skid-steer's existence, Mustang
employees pooled their money to buy the machine. Moved by the company's
passion for the machine, Mustang general manager Randy Vargason made the
deal on the company's dime, refusing the employees' donations.
After purchasing the skid-steer in May, the company spent three months
having it repainted and installing new tires. Other than paint, decals,
tires, seat and a few hoses that had deteriorated from age, there was no
other restoration needed. The unit is currently on display at the
Owatonna Village of Yesteryear.
The skid steer was among the first manufactured in the United States.
In fact, the machine was built long before the terminology "skid steer"
was even developed. The unit was marketed as a "self-propelled 4-wheel
drive unit" and was recognized by its lime green and red color scheme.
The first units were designated as the Owatonna Mustang Series 1000
-- a name that was derived from the company's hometown and original
name, Owatonna Manufacturing Company.
