Earth-Moving
Motor graders
Terex adds four new motor graders to its line of earthmoving equipment -- the TG110, TG150, TG190 and TG210. Fred Casten, Terex product manager, says that the four models deliver the power, maneuverability and precision needed for road maintenance work. Customers can choose among four weight classes and can opt for tandem or all-wheel drive. All four models include a 4-cycle, Tier-3 Cummins diesel engine with direct injection, and range from 132 hp to 220 hp.

"The new graders feature a compact design, blade geometry that allows 90-degree positioning on either side of the machine, a 30-degree articulating frame and a hydraulic front-wheel steering system," Casten says. "The result is excellent precision and versatility even in confined work areas."

Lifting
Work platform
The TelPro Tele-Tower Model 1101 adjustable work platform is made from all-steel construction and with portable components that can be transported to the worksite in a van or pickup truck and easily assembled by one person from ground level. There are no tools or loose parts to worry about when working with the Tele-Tower. The assembled unit with safety rails folded can roll through a 32-inch by 80-inch doorway. The winch system operates to provide an adjustable platform height ranging from 2 feet to 11 feet in 6-inch increments. Integral outriggers extend to provide a stable 6-foot base. The static load rating is 550 pounds.

Mounting system
The Beta Max Scaff-Trac Mounting System is designed for attaching hoists to conventional walk-through frame scaffolding. The Scaff-Trac hangs just under the horizontal members of a frame scaffold using Beta Max saddles and pins. It works with frame scaffolds using either 7-foot or 8-foot cross braces, and allows the load to be rolled back into the scaffold for unloading. Multiple pin configurations are available, allowing the user flexibility to mount the system to most brands of frame scaffold. The Scaff-Trac allows a maximum lift capacity of 1,200 pounds and a cantilever of 3 1/2 feet.

For Contractors
Masonry saw
Edco's 14-inch masonry saw is designed for cutting interlocking pavers, retaining-wall block, brick and 8-inch masonry block. The GMS-14A offers a 14-inch blade capacity and a choice of 5.5-, 6.5- or 9-hp gasoline-powered engines, eliminating electrical cords and providing greater convenience in placement at the jobsite. Edco's patented fixed-engine platform prevents engine burnout and isolates the engine from the cutting arm for reduced vibration and efficient power delivery. An electric-powered option is also available for cutting indoors.

Welding torch
Weldcraft's MT-125 water-cooled micro TIG welding torch is designed to improve performance on precision applications. The MT-125 features a low-profile nozzle that can fit into 5/8-inch diameter holes. For even greater torch maneuverability it includes 2-, 3.5- and 5-inch body length options along with 45-, 90- or 180-degree head configurations. Rated at 100 percent duty cycle up to 125 amps, the MT-125 gives operators the ability to weld on virtually any TIG application, especially those with limited access joints. To lower maintenance and operational costs, the torch uses a replaceable silicone rubber insulating sleeve and head components. The model requires only 1 liter of water per minute at a minimum pressure of 40 psi or 1.2 liters of water per minute at a maximum pressure of 50 psi.

Surface grinder
General Equipment's SG24/E3HP surface grinder is powered by an enclosed fan-cooled 3-hp electric motor to provide power for job applications where a gasoline engine is not practical. The unit features standard twin counter-rotating discs that can work a 24-inch by 12-inch area. The discs can be removed quickly to allow 10-inch diameter multi-segmented dry diamond discs to be attached for increased productivity on polymer, concrete, epoxy, plastic overlays and critical flat-floor installations. Other attachment systems are available for breaking up deposits of grease, rubber carpet backing and industrial residues; cleaning concrete, asphalt and tiles; producing exposed aggregate slabs; and buffing and polishing delicate terrazzo and marble floor surfaces.

Treatment system
OilTrap Environmental introduces a new generation of electrocoagulation (EC) wash water treatment systems designed for treating wash water generated from washing rental equipment such as forklifts, scissorlifts, earthmoving equipment and more. The EL5-WR and EL10-WR are built with portability in mind for ease of moving the system to different locations. The treatment process is fully automatic, eliminating daily maintenance and does not require the use of filters or separation chemicals.

The ElectroPulse system is designed for ease of operation, so it is automated and requires little daily maintenance. "On-board processes will manage all daily operations including pH control, odor control and sludge management," says Mike Davis, vice president of sales and marketing for OilTrap.
