Each of the Safety Tips Sheets, developed as a product of the PLANET/OSHA Alliance, is a one-page script that can be downloaded from PLANET's Web site and used to train workers on four major hazards identified through the Alliance. The Safety Tips Sheets topics include slip and trip injuries, lifting-related injuries, defensive driving to avoid motor vehicle crashes and reducing the risk of amputations. Golf Course Management Professionals Travel to New Orleans to Assist in Golf Course Facility Recovery A group of 30 golf course management professionals, primarily from the Rocky Mountain region, recently headed to New Orleans to help four golf courses recover from Hurricane Katrina. Under the direction of Vail (Colo.) Golf Club superintendent Steve Sarro, the group will meet in Colorado Springs and caravan to the Mississippi Delta, March 11. The TPC of Louisiana, English Turn Golf & Country Club and two municipal facilities (Audubon Golf Course and Brechtel Golf Course) have been targeted for clean up.
