CARB

American carriers worried of a widespread truckers’
strike need only look to Europe to see what the worst-case scenario
could be. Tens of thousands of truckers in Spain have engaged in
widespread protests against fuel prices, occasionally resorting to
violence and sabotage, according to news reports.
Diesel
prices down for second week in a row
The average U.S. diesel price fell two cents to $4.69
per gallon for the week of June 9, the second straight week prices have
declined, according to data provided by the Energy Information
Administration (EIA).

Paccar Parts has announced it will incentivize the sale
of idle reduction, engine-off cooling and heating technology
manufactured by Webasto to North American Peterbilt and Kenworth
dealerships.

Superrigs awards given
Ryan Danylchurch and his 2001 Peterbilt 379 won the
“Best of Show” top prize at the 26th annual Shell Rotella Superrigs
competition held June 5-7 in Walcott, IA. Danylchurch, who lives in
Winnipeg, MB, Canada, won the top prize of $10,000 at the three-day
truck beauty contest.
