The California Air Resources Board has unveiled a revised draft regulation that would require the estimated 420,000 privately owned diesel trucks and buses to retrofit beginning in 2012.

American carriers worried of a widespread truckers’ strike need only look to Europe to see what the worst-case scenario could be. Tens of thousands of truckers in Spain have engaged in widespread protests against fuel prices, occasionally resorting to violence and sabotage, according to news reports.

Diesel prices down for second week in a row
The average U.S. diesel price fell two cents to $4.69 per gallon for the week of June 9, the second straight week prices have declined, according to data provided by the Energy Information Administration (EIA).

Paccar Parts offers deals on Webasto parts
Paccar Parts has announced it will incentivize the sale of idle reduction, engine-off cooling and heating technology manufactured by Webasto to North American Peterbilt and Kenworth dealerships.
